GASKET-10R140 | PML Cover Gasket For PML 10R140 Transmission Pan

PML custom gasket specifically for PML 10R140 transmission pan, PML part number 11180. PML 10R140 pan is not compatible with the stock gasket and the stock pan is not compatible with the PML gasket.

One gasket is included with each PML transmission pan. 

PML designed this gasket specifically for our transmission pan for a secure seal to the transmission housing. It is a cork composite material, which is ideal for putting two machined surfaces together.

This PML gasket will NOT work with the OEM pan. The OEM gasket is like an O-ring, and it will NOT work with the PML Pan. This gasket NOT recommended for any other 10R140 transmissinon pan.

Why does PML Recommend Cork Gaskets?

PML transmission pans feature heavy duty construction with thick walls so they will not tweak or bend when bolted onto the housing. A cork or cork composite gasket provides a soft, flexible, cushioning layer between the two hard surfaces to make a good seal.

PML does NOT recommend rubber gaskets or any gasket that is molded with a metal insert. These are too stiff and can cause leaks or binding on the bolts when installing PML pans.

Are These Gaskets Reusable?

Cork composite gaskets are generally not reusable. When torqued down, the material compresses to a the seal. Reusing it can lead to leaks.

How Are They Shipped?

PML ships gaskets flat in a cardboard container so that they arrive safely and ready to use.
