Set of two gaskets for PML Chevy 348, 409 valve covers. Cork composite material for a leak-free seal, these gaskets make a secure seal when used with a PML valve covers.

PML does not recommend these gaskets for non-PML valve covers. We do not know if they would work.

Why does PML Recommend Cork Gaskets?

PML valve covers feature heavy duty construction with thick walls so they will not tweak or bend when bolted onto the cylinder head. The cylinder head also will not tweak or bend. A cork or cork composite gasket provides a soft, flexible, cushioning layer between the two hard surfaces to make a good seal.

With PML valve covers, PML does NOT recommend rubber gaskets or any gasket that is molded with a metal insert. These are too stiff and can cause leaks or binding on the bolts when installing PML covers. These kinds of gasksets work well with stock covers, which are thin and can tweak when bolted on.

Are These Gaskets Reusable?

Cork composite gaskets are generally not reusable. When torqued down, the material compresses to a the seal. Reusing it can lead to leaks.

How Are They Shipped?

PML ships gaskets flat in a cardboard container so that they arrive safely and ready to use.
