Purge Resonance Technology for your C5 The Billy Boat Performance Exhaust PRT
after-cat system employs exhaust technology unique to the aftermarket.
So unique, in fact, it doesn't use a muffler at all. The Billy Boat
Performance Exhaust PRT system is simple in design, though more complex
in theory, which suggests that you can have a mellow sound at cruising
speeds and a sport note when you're tearing up the streets. It allows
true straight through exhaust passage under agressive driving
conditions, through a mellow sound is emitted at cruising speeds thanks
to the unique Purge Chamber. This Billy Boat Performance Exhaust PRT
system works purely on physics without mechanical devices to direct
exhaust flow.
Using our in-house Dynojet chassis dyno on a 2001 6-speed with a
Billy Boat Performance Exhaust PRT system show gains of 12 additional
horsepower and 14 lbs/ft of torque. What's cool about the Billy Boat

C5 Shorty Headers Built entirely of T-304 stainless steel, Billy Boat Performance Exhaust Shorty
Headers for the C-5 Corvette are direct replacement parts for the
factory equipment. Billy Boat Performance Exhuast is the originator of
the LS1 shorty header. Longer, equal length primary tubes
increase performance and throttle response and large diameter 1.75"
primary tubes improve flow. Unlike most header manufacturers who settle
for an open collector, Billy Boat Performance Exhaust hand builds each
of its 4-into-1 merged collectors for the best performance possible. In
addition to a performance increase of 10 rear wheel horsepower, Billy
Boat Performance Exhuast's Shorty Headers weigh 15.3 pounds, that is less than half the weight of the heavy OEM cast iron manifolds.
C5 Long Tube Headers and X-Pipe Billy Boat Performance Exhaust has once again taken the Pole
Position in the market by developing long tube header systems
specifically for the C5 and C6 Corvette. The header design incorporates
the correct firing sequence which pairs exhaust ports together for more
efficient exhaust scavenging. Dyno testing, utilizing technology
previously found in racing applications has shown an increase of
horsepower and torque throughout the entire RPM range. This is a true
bolt-on header, complete with hardware and gaskets, dedicated to the C5
and now for the C6 Corvette as well. The new 1.75" tube flows seamlessly
to a 3", 4-into-1 collector.
